Successful commissioning of DWC Prime column to meet new CS2 regulation for petrochemical naphtha

A DWC Prime™ retrofit lets a Southeast Asian refinery produce petrochemical-grade naphtha with less than 1 ppm carbon disulfide — while also generating premium gasoline.

DWC Innovations has successfully commissioned a DWC Prime™ column at a major Southeast Asian refinery to produce petrochemical-grade naphtha containing less than 1 ppm carbon disulfide (CS₂).

The project involved retrofitting DWC Prime technology into an existing depentanizer column, enabling the refinery to achieve ultra-low CS₂ levels required for petrochemical applications while maximizing the value of existing assets. By integrating the advanced distillation technology within the existing column infrastructure, the refinery was able to upgrade product quality without the need for a new standalone processing unit.

In addition to producing high-purity petrochemical naphtha, the DWC Prime column also generates premium gasoline, creating an additional revenue stream and further enhancing refinery profitability.
