Manish Bhargava (Founder and CEO, DWCI)
With more than 23 years of experience in the refining, petrochemical, and chemical industries, Manish Bhargava founded DWC Innovations LLC (DWCI) with a vision to transform conventional distillation practices through innovative, energy-efficient separation technologies. Recognizing that distillation systems account for a significant portion of energy consumption in chemical and refining operations, he established DWCI to help the industry align with the global drive toward sustainability and cleaner energy solutions.
Manish’s extensive background in process design, engineering, technology development, and plant operations provides him with a unique perspective on modernizing separation processes. His expertise has been instrumental in advancing the commercialization and deployment of Dividing-Wall Column (DWC) technology, one of the most significant process-intensification developments in the distillation industry.
A recognized leader in the field of advanced separations, Manish holds more than a dozen patents covering various aspects of distillation and separation technologies. Prior to founding DWCI, he led the Advanced Separations Group at GTC Technology in Houston, Texas, where he played a pivotal role in the development and commercialization of Dividing-Wall Columns. Over the course of his career, he has personally contributed to the successful commercialization of more than 25 DWC installations worldwide.
Before joining GTC Technology, Manish spent six years with KBR in Houston, gaining extensive experience in process engineering, refinery technologies, and large-scale project execution. His technical expertise spans process simulation, feasibility studies, proposal development, heat integration, process optimization, and detailed engineering design.
Manish earned a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from Malaviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT), Jaipur.
Known for his passion for improving plant performance and developing practical process solutions, Manish has earned wide recognition within the distillation and absorption community. His innovative ideas and contributions to refinery and petrochemical processing have been featured in numerous technical publications, industry journals, conferences, and seminars. Through DWCI, he continues to drive the adoption of advanced separation technologies that enhance efficiency, reduce energy consumption, and support sustainable industrial growth.
