The People Behind Our Innovation
Meet the experienced engineers and leaders driving DWC Innovations’ Dividing Wall Column technology forward.

Manish Bhargava
Founder and CEO, DWCI
Background
With more than 23 years of experience across the refining, petrochemical, and chemical industries, Manish Bhargava founded DWC Innovations LLC (DWCI) to help operators move beyond conventional distillation. Since distillation systems account for a significant share of energy use in refining and chemical processing, he built DWCI around a clear goal: making separation technology more efficient and better aligned with the industry’s shift toward cleaner energy.
His background spans process design, engineering, technology development, and plant operations, giving him a practical, ground-level view of how separation processes can be modernized. That perspective has been central to advancing the commercialization and deployment of Dividing-Wall Column (DWC) technology, one of the most significant process-intensification developments in distillation.
Leadership at DWCI
Manish holds more than a dozen patents in distillation and separation technology. Before founding DWCI, he led the Advanced Separations Group at GTC Technology in Houston, Texas, where he helped develop and commercialize Dividing-Wall Columns, and has personally contributed to more than 35 DWC installations worldwide.
Earlier in his career, he spent six years with KBR in Houston, working across process engineering, refinery technologies, and large-scale project execution. His technical range covers process simulation, feasibility studies, proposal development, heat integration, process optimization, and detailed engineering design.
Education
Manish holds a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from Malaviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT), Jaipur.
Recognition
Manish is well known in the distillation and absorption community for his focus on practical, high-performance process solutions. His work in refinery and petrochemical processing has appeared in technical publications, industry journals, conferences, and seminars, and through DWCI he continues pushing separation technology toward greater efficiency, lower energy use, and more sustainable industrial operations.
